Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains what HooTang Clan (“HooTang”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit hootangclan.com, play our games and join the Clan, and what we do with it.

1What We Collect

When you join the Clan we collect your username, and, only if you choose to add them, your X handle, ETH wallet address and INJ wallet address. We also store your game scores, how many runs you have played and when, how long each run lasted, the days you visit while signed in (for your login streak), and the bonus points you earn from daily missions, the Daily Spin and login streaks. If you play NFT Wars, we also store your game wallet, trades and loan for the current month.

If you add an ETH wallet address, we check how many MASKED and HooTang Clan NFTs it holds by reading the public Ethereum and Robinhood Chain records, and store those numbers. We check again about once a day, and straight away if you change your wallet.

Your recovery code is stored only in scrambled form, so we cannot read it. Your device keeps a sign-in key, your best scores and your sound settings in its local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2What Is Public

Your username, scores, Ruckus Rating, rank and bonus points appear on leaderboards and on your public profile, which anyone can open by tapping your name. Your X handle and wallet addresses are never shown publicly.

If your wallet holds MASKED or HooTang Clan NFTs, your public profile shows how many of each you hold. It never shows the wallet itself. Projects you hold none of are not shown.

3Why We Use It

To run your account, the leaderboards, monthly seasons, Ruckus Ratings, daily missions, the Daily Spin and login streaks, to keep scores fair and accounts secure, and, if you add a wallet address, to show how many MASKED and HooTang Clan NFTs you hold and to open holder features such as Hank's Casino. We rely on our legitimate interests in providing the games and community features you ask to use.

4Sharing

We do not sell your information. It is stored with our hosting provider, IONOS. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. High score share images are made on your own device and only go anywhere if you choose to share or save them. To count your NFTs we send your wallet address, but not your username or anything else about you, to Alchemy, the service we use to read blockchain records.

5How Long We Keep It

Your account, best scores, past season results and bonus points are kept until you delete your account. Records of individual game runs are deleted after about 30 days. Your NFT counts are replaced each time they are checked, and deleted if you remove or change your wallet or delete your account. Signing out removes that device's sign-in.

6Your Rights

You can see and change your details, or delete your account and scores, at any time from your Profile page or your profile in any game. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or raise a concern, by emailing ruckus@hootangclan.com.

7Points Have No Value

All scores and points on this website, including the Ruckus Rating, bonus points and Daily Spin results, are fictitious. They are used for fun only and have no real-world value. The Daily Spin is free and cannot be paid for.

8Children

Anyone can play our games, but if you are under 13, please do not join the Clan.

9Letters

Members can send private letters to each other through the site. When you send one we store the message, who sent it, who it was sent to, and when.

Letters are automatically deleted 36 days after they are sent. You can delete a conversation from your own inbox at any time, which removes it for you; the other member keeps their copy until it expires.

We do not read your letters routinely. If a letter is reported, or our automatic checks flag a message as a possible scam, an administrator can read that message and the ones around it in order to act on it. We keep a record of reports, including the message reported, for 12 months.

Blocking a member stops them sending you letters. They are not told that you have blocked them.

Links cannot be sent in letters. The Clan will never message you asking for a wallet address, a seed phrase, a payment or a signature. Anyone who does is not us; report them.

Letters are stored on our hosting in the EU. To have all of your letters deleted, or to ask what we hold, contact us using the details in the Contact section.

10Discord

If you connect Discord on your Profile page, Discord tells us your Discord user ID and username. We store them with your account, along with which HooTang Discord holder roles you have, when we last checked them, and the name colour you picked. Our bot uses this to add and remove holder roles in the HooTang Discord as your holdings change, checking twice a day. We never see your Discord password, messages or servers.

Disconnecting Discord on your Profile page deletes these details straight away and removes the roles we gave you. If you delete your account, they are deleted at the next check, within a day.

11Lost Recovery Codes

If you lose your recovery code, a founder can give you a new one once you have proved the account is yours, for example with a message from the Discord or X account linked to it. Your old code stops working and you are signed out everywhere. For security, we keep a record of each reset: which account, when, which founder made it and how you proved it was you.
